Deirdre Goldfarb

Deirdre Goldfarb, Esq. is a highly knowledgeable attorney with 12+ years of experience in corporate law, business administration and construction defect litigation. She excels in drafting and negotiating contracts, handling transactions and disputes, and providing excellent counsel throughout complex civil litigation proceedings. She has a strong track record of success enhancing internal operations, improving financial planning, and formulating critical programs and systems for businesses. She has strong communication and organizational skills, proven ability to supervise and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and talent for managing heavy workloads. She is semi-fluent in Spanish. She is insightful, and brings a big picture perspective to problem solving, applying incredible focus towards the end goal, while seeing each step through.

Ms. Goldfarb was initially hired to oversee litigation of 2 major cases and subsequently earned promotion to senior leadership position with a Los Angeles based high-end residential construction company with 70 employees and annual revenues of $25M–$40M. She held full responsibility for corporate formalities encompassing compliance, finances/budgeting, HR operations, insurance, licensure, and city taxes.

In 2014, she founded her own law practice supplying legal expertise as General Counsel for a client list of at least ten small businesses. As General Counsel, she provides assistance with corporate governance, insurance coverage, financial management and auditing, HR policies and procedures, and tax matters, drafting contracts and other legal agreements. This often expands to conducting negotiations with clients, vendors, banking institutions, and the IRS.
Ms. Goldfarb has the rare qualities of steadfast diligence and intelligence combined with a keen passion and empathy for others. Ms. Goldfarb is also very adept at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and knows how to raise money and manage a budget. Ms. Goldfarb’s legal background also includes extensive pro bono work She works tirelessly for causes that are important to her, and this quality will surely benefit whomever she represents.


Mr. Pilato, who is licensed to practice law in both California and New York, is a high energy, detail oriented, skilled transactional and litigation attorney with over 30 years of experience in the areas of both criminal and civil law. As for the area of criminal law, he began his legal career as a prosecutor, quickly moving up the ranks to become the leading trial attorney in his office, thereby gaining invaluable insight into the attitudes and procedures utilized by law enforcement agencies, which he uses in representing clients charged with criminal offenses. He has handled all types of criminal matters in local, state and federal courts, ranging from homicides and other serious felonies to DUI/traffic and other significant misdemeanors. On the civil side, his experience includes matters involving business/contract/employment issues, as well as situations dealing with real estate, personal injury and medical malpractice, family law, wills and estates, and white collar situations, etc. This has included preparing contracts and other documents for clients, in addition to preparing Complaints, Answers to Complaints, Discovery Demands, Motions or Responses to Motions, and participating in depositions for both lay and expert witnesses where litigation is anticipated or involved.
Mr. Pilato possesses a strong analytical and review ability, he presents a professional appearance and demeanor, he can communicate and deal effectively with others, he exercises sound judgment in analyzing complex and sensitive issues, and he works well under pressure, Further, although he is very skillful at resolving matters through negotiation or mediation, he is extremely comfortable in the courtroom and never fears fighting for his clients before judges or juries, having successfully engaged in well over 400 jury trials, and countless nonjury proceedings and hearings. He also knows that the two requirements for a favorable end result are establishing a trusting relationship with his client and then conducting a thorough investigation so that he is fully prepared for whatever might arise in the matter. His successes have resulted in him being cited in Marquis’ Who’s Who In American Law on multiple occasions.
Mr. Pilato’s education includes a magna cum laude BA Degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Buffalo. He is licensed as a lawyer in both California and New York, and is an active member of the California Bar Association, as well as the New York Bar Association, and he is a former member of the MCBA Ethics and Criminal Law Sections of that agency.

Angela Crawford

Angela Crawford is the Office Manager/ Paralegal for the firm. Angela maintains the daily office operations and procedures of the US office. She also has more than 24 years experience as a paralegal and has provided legal support in all phases of litigation (including trial preparation and support) involving civil and criminal law. She is an experienced project manager and is trained to cost-effectively implement complex litigation support, including document management, review and e-discovery. Angela has worked and travelled overseas to work with international clients managing voluminous document productions with a team of lawyers and paralegals on several different occasions. Angela completed a Bachelor in Political Science at University of North Carolina and completed the Philadelphia Institute of Paralegal Studies course in January 1994.

Khaled Wahab

Khaled Wahab is a Law Clerk with James McConvill and Associates. Khaled holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Bond University and is currently completing his Master of Laws at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada. During his time at Bond University, Khaled founded the Bond University Mooting Association. Khaled was also the Senior Legal Adviser at Bond University’s Commercial Law Clinic.

Khaled has acquired knowledge and practical legal skills in a wide range of practice areas including family law, commercial law, intellectual property, municipal law, criminal law, and traffic offences.

Khaled works with lawyers and paraprofessionals at all levels at James McConvill and Associates’ offices across the country.
